The Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative requires 3 hours of training for physicians, nurse midwives, nurse practioners, physician's assistants, and other providers working with breastfeeding mothers and infants.

This course provides the 3 hours of breastfeeding specific education for physicians.

Dana Silver MD, a pediatrician at LifeBridge Health, presents this three hour program. CME credits are offered at the completion of this program from LifeBridge Health.

This activity offers continuing education credit for:

Physicians (3 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit)

  1. Physician Assistants (AMA PRA Category 1 Credit is accepted by AAPA)
  2. Registered Nurses (Nursing Contact Hours provided by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation)

All other clinicians will receive an Attendance Certificate.
