Course for Pharmacists

 

This specialty course for pharmacists identifies sources of information for medication use and utilizes tools and techniques for evaluating medication use during breastfeeding. Dr. Nice teaches on how to identify adverse effects in children of mothers who are taking medications and identify medications that are usually safe to take while breastfeeding.

 

Instructor is Frank Nice RPH DPA CPHP. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, a Masters Degree in Pharmacy Administration, and Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Public Administration. Dr. Nice holds Certification in Public Health Pharmacy and served 20 years at the National Institutes of Health’s Clinical Neurosciences Program as Assistant Program Director.

This course for Radiologists and Radiology Technicians describes American College of Radiology, Nuclear Regulatory Commission and International Committee for Radiological Protection standards for imaging studies in lactating women. Additionally, it discusses which imaging studies are appropriate for breast specific concerns in lactating women. We briefly cover breast cancer screening during lactation.
